Henna Design

For clients with little or no hair on their brows, henna can be the perfect solution. It gives your eyebrows a beautiful shape and definition in a painless and all-natural way and typically last between 2-3 weeks. Although the duration can change according to the skin type.

What is Henna?

Captivating people since ancient Egyptian times, Henna is a natural dye made from a plant called hina or henna tree.

It is a safe and natural option for eyebrow tinting. It is vegan and free of peroxide activators, which makes it perfect for sensitive skin.

Who is henna for?

Henna is recommended for people with thin or flawed eyebrows and who are at least 12 years old.

Henna Benefits

Perhaps the best quality of Henna is that it colors the eyebrow strands without damaging them, providing a natural look.

Its application shapes the eyebrows, fills gaps, enhances the features, raises the eyes and brightens the face, creating harmony.

Henna has a recognized coloring property for both skin and hair. It is completely natural and does not cause any side effects. Because it is semi permanent – that is, the applied ink is partially absorbed by the skin – it acts as a kind of makeup, which can last up to 15 days.

Application

Before applying the henna, the technician projects the design of the eyebrows, measuring the client’s face and contouring the eyebrows with a white pencil, removing excess hair. The henna is then applied with a toothpick, avoiding smudging and then left to act for 10 to 20 minutes before being removed with cotton.

This procedure requires the touch of a specialized professional, as the henna must dye the skin together with the eyebrow hair in the correct measure, to create the sensation of volume, without smudging. Excessive application can cause an artificial look.

Is the eyebrow Henna lasting?

Henna eyebrows last for about 15 days, and may vary according to the type of skin, products used and care performed (see aftercare below).

The duration is usually shorter in oily skin because the oil itself promotes the removal and fading of pigments. The opposite occurs in drier skin, where henna lasts longer.

Aftercare

Henna is very beneficial for the health of the eyebrows as it is 100% natural, since it is a pigment extracted from a plant. But it also makes it short-lived.

The following are some aftercare tips so that your henna application can last longer.

hi2

The oiliness of the hands impairs the duration of hennas. Avoid touching your eyebrows.

hi1

Avoid washing your face on the first day after application. If necessary, use deep cleansing wipes on your face, without touching your eyebrows.

hi3

In the first days, do not apply oil-based creams to the skin. The oiliness of the cream decreases the pigment fixation.

hi5

Avoid passing pencils over your eyebrows when they have henna. The rubbing of the pencil against the skin causes the henna to come off.

hi4

After bathing, do not rub your eyebrows with towels. This impairs the duration of the henna.

At The Lash Studio, your eyebrows will be designed to match the shape of your eyes and your type of lashes to create a killer look.
